Description
Common Name: Beetle Peperomia
Scientific Name: Peperomia angulata or quadrangularis
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate medium light, but growth may slow and foliage may become less compact. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves.
Water:
Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Water sparingly, as Peperomias are semi-succulent and sensitive to overwatering.
Humidity:
Prefers moderate humidity but adapts well to standard indoor conditions. No special humidity requirements.
Temperature:
Ideal temperature range is 18–26°C. Protect from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 15°C.
Soil:
Use a well-draining, airy potting mix such as peat or coco coir mixed with perlite. Good drainage is essential.
Fertilizer:
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer. Light feeders—avoid over-fertilizing.
Pruning:
Remove damaged or aging leaves as needed. Light pruning encourages a fuller, more compact growth habit.
Toxicity:
Generally considered non-toxic to pets and humans.
