Description

Common Name: Peperomia Olga
Scientific Name: Peperomia caperata ‘Olga’

Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate medium light, but growth may slow and foliage may lose vibrancy. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Water:
Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Water sparingly, as Peperomias are semi-succulent and highly sensitive to overwatering.

Humidity:
Prefers moderate humidity but adapts well to typical indoor conditions. No special humidity requirements.

Temperature:
Ideal temperature range is 18–26°C. Protect from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 15°C.

Soil:
Use a well-draining, airy potting mix such as peat or coco coir mixed with perlite. Excellent drainage is essential to prevent root rot.

Fertilizer:
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer. Light feeding is sufficient—avoid over-fertilizing.

Pruning:
Remove damaged or old leaves to maintain appearance. Light pruning encourages a compact, bushy growth habit.

Toxicity:
Generally considered non-toxic to pets and humans.
