Description
Common Name: Pothos N’Joy
Scientific Name: Epipremnum aureum ‘N’Joy’
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain crisp white and green variegation. Can tolerate medium light, but lower light will reduce variegation and slow growth. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves.
Water:
Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, then let excess drain completely. More tolerant of slight dryness than overwatering.
Humidity:
Adapts well to average indoor humidity. Performs best in moderate humidity but does not require special conditions.
Temperature:
Ideal temperature range is 18–30°C. Protect from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 15°C.
Soil:
Use a well-draining indoor potting mix with added perlite or bark. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot.
Fertilizer:
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced liquid fertilizer. Reduce feeding in winter.
Pruning:
Prune to encourage bushier growth and maintain compact shape. Cutting back leggy vines promotes fuller growth.
Toxicity:
Toxic if ingested to pets and humans. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
