Description
Common Name: Syngonium Pink Perfection
Scientific Name: Syngonium podophyllum ‘Pink Perfection’
Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain strong pink variegation. Can tolerate medium light, but pink colouring may fade and revert to greener tones. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves and reduce variegation.
Water:
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Keep soil lightly moist but never soggy. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot, which Syngoniums are prone to.
Humidity:
Prefers moderate to high humidity. Higher humidity supports more vibrant pink colouring and healthier, larger leaves.
Temperature:
Ideal temperature range is 18–28°C. Protect from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 15°C.
Soil:
Use a well-draining aroid mix with peat or coco coir, perlite, and orchid bark. Good aeration is essential for root health.
Fertilizer:
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer. Reduce feeding in winter.
Pruning:
Prune regularly to encourage bushier growth and maintain compact form. Cuttings root easily in water or soil for propagation.
Toxicity:
Toxic if ingested to pets and humans. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
