Description

Common Name: Syngonium Pink Speckle
Scientific Name: Syngonium podophyllum ‘Pink Speckle’

Light:
Prefers bright, indirect light to maintain strong pink speckling and variegation. Can tolerate medium light, but pink markings may become less pronounced and growth may slow. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch leaves.

Water:
Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Keep soil lightly moist but never waterlogged. Ensure good drainage to prevent root rot, as Syngoniums are sensitive to overwatering.

Humidity:
Prefers moderate to high humidity. Higher humidity enhances leaf size and supports more defined speckled variegation.

Temperature:
Ideal temperature range is 18–28°C. Protect from cold drafts and avoid temperatures below 15°C.

Soil:
Use a well-draining aroid mix with peat or coco coir, perlite, and orchid bark. Good aeration is essential for healthy root development.

Fertilizer:
Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a diluted balanced liquid fertilizer. Reduce feeding in winter.

Pruning:
Prune regularly to encourage bushier growth and maintain compact form. Cuttings root easily in water or soil for propagation.

Toxicity:
Toxic if ingested to pets and humans. Keep out of reach of children and animals.
